Will PDF versions come with all physical book pledge levels?
Yes. All physical book pledges also come with a PDF. If you choose to back at the Warrior Donation Only level, the physical book goes to a reservation library but you’ll get the PDF.

Can we add on the Roll20 level later? Also, does the standard PDF come with the Roll20 level?
We have the Roll20 level and the Healer+Roll20 level here. However, all levels will be able to add on the Roll20 level items by adding $60 to your pledge now or via Backerkit (our pledge manager) after the campaign.

Are Real world tribes incorporated into Coyote & Crow RPG?
It’s vital to us that cultures be portrayed in Coyote and Crow in a way that honors their real world counterparts. To that end, only a few real tribes are mentioned in the core book and then only in a broad context.
There are a couple of key reasons for this. One, we would want to write about every tribe and their role in this world and there just isn’t enough space in a 300 page book to do justice to us all. Two, we want this core book to inspire writers from all tribes to approach us and tell us what happened to their tribe in this world. We don’t want to dictate your alternate futures, we want you to write them!
In the coming months and years, we’re going to work on creating regional and tribal expansions, and working with appropriate writers will be the first step.

What happened to people on other continents?
Part of the backstory of the world of Coyote and Crow is that the world is recovering from a severe climate disaster. As your characters are entering the game, the world is healing, the weather is easing up and you’re able to explore. But it’s from the perspective of the people of Makasing and they don’t know what happened to people on other continents. There’s certainly some strong hints in the book, but the bottom line is that it’s not addressed in this book.
There are two reasons for that. First (and frankly, most importantly) I wanted to write a book about the people of this continent that didn’t include people from Europe. That’s just not a story that interests me. Individual Story Guides can explore those avenues in their games if they’d like, that’s fine.
Secondly, the book is clocking in at over 300 pages already. We’ve packed in a ton of information about the city of Cahokia, the Free Lands, the other nations of Makasing and even some mentions of the nations in Abayang and Abazang. There just isn’t space for anything else in this book.

Will there be custom Coyote and Crow dice?
Yes. But not for this campaign. First off, there won’t be any rewards that require shipping multiple items from our main warehouse. We just aren’t set up for that kind of thing yet.
But, let me give you a more exciting answer. We’re working on a separate project for Coyote and Crow dice that are made from bioplastics (both bio-based and biodegradable). Not only would this be an hobby first, as far as I know, it would stay true to the in-game setting of bioplastics being the dominant artificial material. Stay tuned!

Why aren't you shipping outside of US and Canada?
There are a couple of reasons here. First, this our first Kickstarter and I’ve heard nothing but horror stories from everyone (creators and backers) about international shipping issues. This is only compounded considering the current state of the world. Considering that I have a great partner in international distribution for the hobby business, I figured it would be safer, easier and cheaper for everyone. I’m sorry you won’t be able to get the physical books quite as fast, but you can back at the Tinkerer or Roll20 levels and get it digitally and then wait for your local hobby store to get it.
But, there’s another more personal reason too. And that is that, for the first run of this, just for a little while, I want this to be ours. And by ours, I mean people Native to North America. I want us all to be able to call this one ours for a bit before we share it with everyone else. Indulge me, please.

Which libraries will get donations? How will that work?
We’re working to partner with a number of library organizations in the U.S. and Canada. What will likely happen (emphasis on likely) is that once the Kickstarter is finished, we’ll ask you on your backer kit survey if you have a preference as to which library receives a copy. We’ll then create a list of requests and then work with our partners to make sure as many games are spread out across as many libraries as equitably as possible using the requested libraries as a starting point.

We are able to pull data based on the time of your pledge. If you have pledged from the start of the campaign up to 3/4/21 at 8am PST you will receive the Early Backer Exclusive.

What is BackerKit?
BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?
The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.
Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.
To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.
How do I update my shipping address?
BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.
When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?
That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.
